Proprietary Management Information Systems Our proprietary systems automatically generate credit reports on new applicants and categorize risk based on business type and other information provided on the loan & merchant account applications. With our experience and resources, we offer: Merchant Set Up and Training When a merchant is approved for credit card processing, we create a file or software configuration that can be downloaded into the merchant's credit card terminal or pos system. Once downloaded, this file allows merchants to accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diner's Club, JCB, Debit & ATM cards, as well as Check Guarantee & Gift Cards, thru their pos device. If a merchant has requested a business loan, this information can also be programmed into the merchant's pos device to provide for automatic repayment of the loan over time. We provide merchants with complete downloading, installation, training & ongoing support 24/7 for the life of their accounts, and we offer a free Lifetime Equipment Warranty on all credit card equipment. Transaction Processing A credit card transaction begins when a credit card is swiped or manually entered into a merchant's credit card terminal or pos system. This creates a request from the merchant's pos device for an authorization of the transaction. The transaction data is captured by us and electronically transmitted to the customer's card issuing bank. The bank determines the availability of the credit or debit funds in the cutomer's account and communicates an 'approved' or 'declined' response back to us, which we then relay to the merchant's pos device. This process only takes a couple of seconds. When the transaction is complete and the merchant closes their batch at the end of their business day, we transmit the data to all the card issuing banks for settlement of the funds. Risk Management & Protection Against Fraud Risk management is one of our biggest assets and helps us protect our merchants and minimize the potential for losses. We have a staff of over 50 associates dedicated solely to risk management operations. Our risk management & underwriting departments assist merchants in identifying and avoiding fraudulent transactions, which is particularly important in today's economy when fraudulent activity on the part of consumers is at an increased level. Merchant Service and Support We provide merchant's with our award winning service and support 24/7/365. This includes everything from initial account set up & training from our field representatives, to ongoing customer service & technical support from our Toll Free Merchant Help Desk with operators on stand by to assist them. Chargeback Service In the event of a billing dispute between one of our merchants and a cardholder, we help investigate and resolve the dispute on behalf of our merchants as quickly & accurately as possible. We provide our merchants with the opportunity to challenge disputed transactions & demonstrate they are valid before any decisions are made. It is important to respond quickly when a consumer challenges a transaction to insure there is ample time to present a case showing the disputed transaction was indeed valid. This is often as simple as presenting a copy of the consumer's signature on the credit card transaction receipt. Merchant Reporting We provide our merchants with detailed account activity & summary report information, available thru various formats including end of day report printouts from each merchant's credit card terminal or pos system, online account access, monthly paper statements sent by mail, and thru our Toll Free Merchant Help Desk with live operators on stand by to assist them 24/7/365.
